The Villa Group Resorts is an ARDA (American Resort Development Association) affiliated resort conglomerate with properties in vacation destinations in Mexico. Founded in 1982, the Villa Group Resorts owns, designs, operates, maintains, constructs, finances and markets hotels, resorts, spas, residences and vacation ownership products. Brands associated with the Villa Group Resorts are Villa del Palmar, Villa la Estancia, Villa del Arco and Villa Preferred Access.
History
The history of the Villa Group Resorts has its origins in a marketing company formed in 1982 to promote and sell timeshare and vacation products in Mexico. The company began by marketing and selling timeshare in Puerto Vallarta until 1984, when it purchased its first purpose built vacation ownership property, Villa del Mar, a 131 suite complex with swimming pool and common areas. The Villa Group Resorts subsequently bought the land next to Villa del Mar in Puerto Vallarta to construct a purpose built timeshare resort, and thus the Villa del Palmar brand was born.
The Villa Group Resorts expanded into resort and spa development and operation, offering its timeshare owners the services and facilities of a fully operational hotel. The Villa Group Resorts owns and operates Villa del Palmar resorts and spas in Riviera Nayarit, Cabo San Lucas, Cancun and the Islands of Loreto, all providing vacation ownership opportunities as well as hotel services to non-members.
The Villa Group Resorts also extended their portfolio of resorts to include the Villa La Estancia brand, which operates as a five star hotel with full and fractional deeded ownership opportunities.

The Villa Group timeshare division offers a variety of vacation ownership products, including vacation club membership such as Villa Preferred Access, in Mexican beach vacation destinations. The current Villa Group timeshare model is based on a points scheme membership.
Exchanges
The Villa Group, through the services of Universal Vacation Club (UVC), a mutual benefit company, offers the possibility for Villa Group members to make internal exchanges at Villa Group resorts in Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, Cabo San Lucas, Cancun and the Islands of Loreto. International exchanges are facilitated by The Villa Group's long-standing affiliation with one of the worlds largest exchange networks, Interval International.
Philanthropy
The Villa Group is a primary patron of the Eagle's Wings Foundation, which is an organization co-developed by The Villa Group Resorts and Universal Vacation Club (UVC) to help non-profit organizations primarily in the locations where the Villa Group Resorts has developed its properties in Mexico: Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun and Loreto, as well as other charitable relief projects.
